Read Aloud
I, the teacher, begin with an interactive read aloud of children’s literature that consists of a variety of genres, favorite texts of students, and literature on cultures and other diverse societal subjects. A book is read to the class as a whole group or small group with stopping points, engaging students to interact with comments or questions. All lessons are based upon Common Core State Standard objective for each grade level.
